Request AF100 Firmware Upgrade?

Hey Guys, just wanted to know if there was a way to contact panasonic directly and submit a request for upgrade. I know one individual one wont make a difference but hopefully will get enough request to pay attention.

I want to be able to turn off and on OIS even with lenses that aren't recognized by the camera. I currently have some nikon primes that i throw on my camera and i love how it looks. i hate the fact though that i cant turn on OIS. This is the reason why i wanted an AF100 over a DSLR...i wanted stabilization....

anyways, any info you guys can provide would be helpful
 
OIS is a function in a lens, not in the camera body. If you want OIS you need to buy one of the few lenses that have it, the camera switch merely turns it on for you.
 
to avoid shaky shots. i mean i have a redrock rig, but i dont want to have to have my camera mounted on that every single time
 
I would be keen to see anyones tests that shows how effective OIS functions are at fixing "shaky shots" in motion picture work .

Worth noting that true pro cine lenses dont offer this function for a reason. ie compromised lens design and engineering and the expectation that there are "other ways with dealing with "shake".

I acknowledge that some shots may benefit from it but overall...call me a "sceptic".
