REQ: Best cinematogaphic/filmic examples

Lurking hereabouts for ages, I've now all but decided on the DVX for my film -- if only for the price point. It's my theory that the image quality gap (resolution, etc.) between the DVX and the rest of the "prosumer" herd can be closed with hard work in production and post, as well as (e.g., instead of) money in prepro.

In the meantime, I'm hoping the community might be apt to list, in their opinion, the best examples of this theory in practice.

I liked SIMILO and saw the Broken trailer, but what are some other examples available to watch on the 'net which exhibit "cinema-quality" cinematography from the DVX?

i'm assuming when you say cinematography you are referring to the actual shooting process. if not then disregard all of the below :)

there is so much information to learn about cinematography that it can't be summed up all in a post. you're going to want to do alot of study and research on this one.

buy this book
http://www.amazon.com/Five-Cs-Cinem..._bbs_sr_3/002-6235328-2980846?ie=UTF8&s=books

the information within it is invaluable and it is some of the best 20 bucks you'll ever spend.

this is probably the most artistic, creative aspect of the entire filmmaking process - choosing your camera angles and perspectives. the way you shoot your film can change the entire mood of your movie and can mean the difference between looking amateur-ish and looking professional.

go look at the Horror fest films...... they were pretty impresive. mostly shot on DVX....

What quality gap is that exactly? Between the DVX and other SD cams? Or between the DVX and HD cams? The DVX holds up against other SD cams. Maybe not quite there in the pure resolution figures, but more organic.
