Reputable place to buy audio gear in Beijing?

Anyone know one? Specifically looking to probably buy some Sennheiser wireless system (to attach to a camera, obv), but I don't want to buy on taobao because I'm afraid the ones on there are probably counterfeit (and also sort of overpriced).


Anyone know a good place in Beijing? I could also make a trip to Shanghai if absolutely necessary, so if you know a spot in Shanghai let me know. But I'd prefer to avoid that if at all possible...
 
Hey... I am a location soundman based in Beijing, let me know which model of Sennheiser wireless you would like to purchase, I could provide the dealer 's direct contact. You are right, Taobao isn't the place to purchase professional gear.
BTW, I don't think you need to go to Shanghai, you should be able to get all you need in Beijing ;D

Oh awesome, thank you! Looking for either a set of G2 or G3, camera mount with lapel mic, i.e sth like this (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...ser_EW_112P_G3_A_EW112_p_G3_Camera_Mount.html) though I am not sure what "block" works best in China or if that's even relevant. I'd prefer somewhere where I can also try out what I'm buying in the shop to try to be sure interference from cell phone signals, etc. isn't a problem.


Although I suppose I could also just ask you: what gear do you use? anything wireless? how does it hold up in terms of interference? I have found that even my WIRED mics (I have an ntg2 and a countryman emw) occasionally get that weird clicking/popping/beeping noise I associate with cell phone interference (because it often precedes or coincides with someone's cell phone ringing).

Anything you can offer to help find a reliable source would be fantastic. Reply here, or you can email me custerc @ gmail. I'd love to have your contact info because I am struggling to find reputable ANYTHING in Beijing. Thanks so much!
 
Just FYI for those who search in the future, it turns out Sennheiser does have a couple official distributors in Beijing. We called and asked about a G3 kit, and were given a price of just under 6000 RMB (i.e. about $900). Not a great price, but better than ANY price we found on Taobao or through a audio equipment dealer. They also list one authorized distributor, who hasn't emailed us back yet. But if you're looking for a G3 set in Beijing, I'd recommend starting with them (phone: 10 8776 6240) rather than going anywhere else, where you might end up with something counterfeit or even MORE overpriced.
