replacement component cable

that happens often and for some reason the red is the weak channel that seems to go first

Yes, the Canon cable works excellently for the HVX200. Last week I loaned mine out as a last minute desperation to an HVX shoot that some friends were doing in the SouthBay/Torrance area. Their cable went bad or got smashed or something, and they used mine. They liked it better because it was longer. but the cables are identical other the that.

our component cable went bad for our HVX as well. And this after a couple weeks of use. I guess to be fair I haven't done tests to be sure. it could be the radio shack connectors I need to connect the cable to the Marshall Monitor. It was really annoying in the field for the AC to suddenly lose picture in the middle of the shot and have to jiggle the cables to get picture back.

You really have to buy one of these as a backup. The cable that comes with the camera is weak.

What is the procedure for getting a replacement from Panasonic? Is there a number to call? The service center here in LA was no help.
