replace SDI port on Odyssey 7Q?

Its a long shot to post about this here, but I've gotten nowhere so far ,so why not .
The "A" SDI input on my Odyssey 7Q+ has broken and needs to be replaced . The pieces that grab the center connector just broke yesterday . But Convergence support seems to be no longer . I've called and gotten a "your call cannot be completed ..." message and no answer to email.
Any idea of who might be able to fix this or might even have parts? I'm located in San Francisco, so near is better than far , but any tips would be appreciated. I'm in touch with a lot of techs up here but so far haven't gotten anywhere.
It could just be a standard part and in fact there are a couple of SDI connectors on that Unit that I've never used ( esp the LTC or the IO's) and could just be switched to "A" if I found someone who was confident inside that unit .
I've been told its very tight in there though .

I know I can use the SDI port and I have SDI to HDMI mini adapters but even that port is loose and I only have 1 of 5 connectors that is snug enough to work reliably . HDMI is always dicey so I really would like to get this repaired .
Any ideas?

Anyone no how to make a loose HDMI mini port more snug ?

Good news Convergent Design repair lives after all. i don't know about phone contact , but i got my email answered and will be sending it in tomorrow.
 
Hey Lenny - hopefully you've had luck on the repair. Just saw your post after getting an email from CD this morning. I've never owned the Odyssey - but rented it several times in the early days of the FS7 - so assume signed up to their email list back then?
Any way, in case you need any more info - or for others seeing this - I'm copying the contact info on the "newsletter-type" email I received from them today...

Its been a comedy opf errors. I sent the Odyssey FEDEX before 10:30 for monday morning and the Fed EX guy tries to deliuer it at 8AM . Who does that for a business. of course no one is there? Despite my calling Fed EX and requesting no deliver before 10 . He does it repeatedly . Finally Mike Schell from Convergent went down and picked it up at FedEx . Very nice of him to do that . Presumably it will be repaired tomorrow. I've never had that kind of problem before with FED EX . They told me if you ask for a before 10:30 delivry they will try at 8 no matter what . That seems crazy to me for a business delivery.
