FS7: repair for Sony 18-110 f4

My sony 18-110 f4 was dropped on a rental and the outer rings that connect the shade to the lens are broken. The lens seems to be working fine.
Anyone have a parts diagram for that lens or know where to get one.

Any experience with this ?
It looks like it might just be a replacement parts issue if I'm real lucky.

Hey Lenny - sorry no experience with this... but I would be happy to hear that lens survived a drop. I try to baby mine just because of the electronics in it.
A quick google search wasn't helpful... nor was Sony USA's "support" page...https://pro.sony/ue_US/search?q=SELP18110G&type=s&cat=
But I did find there's a "software" update for it that I didn't know about...

Please do report back if you find anything helpful - you may just need to call Sony's 800 support number...

Sounds like a repair/replace charge to whoever rented the lens and then let gravity have its way with it.

I have gotten in touch with Sony . Once I got the referral info to Pro Support they've been surprisingly good about contacting me. Here's who i'm taking it to:

Glad to hear the 18-110 survived the fall for the most part. I sold my beloved Canon 18-80 earlier this year because I was wanting all native Sony lenses and picked up the 18-110 to replace it. I was pretty nervous about that because I thought there was no way on this planet that lens could touch the 18-80. Boy was I wrong. I freaking love this lens. It's a little bigger and is missing the side grip that you could get for the 18-80 (favorite thing about that lens), but outside of that, it's a winner. The image quality is great and I like it every bit as much as I did the IQ from the Canon. The manual focusing is easy and the range is much better. I also love the barn door style lens hood so you don't have to use a lens cap. All around great lens and from what you shared here, it sounds like it's relatively robust too. Now if only they would make a side grip for it that also controls the servo a little better, then man, it'd be perfect.

For the Servo I bought the bullet and got a micro force controller and an old J4 motor ( you could also get a Heden) and I got a gear from Followfocusgears.com. Not cheap as it will cost $1-$2K but it does work perfectly so I can do a creeper zoom with it. Very useful for multi camera shoot situations or anything where you need to constantly adjust smoothly.
Glad to hear the IQ looked good compared to the Canon.

Sold my FS7 for an EVA1. Couldn’t be happier image wise but the 18-110 is sth I really miss.
