I can't speak for any of the other rental houses, but a 3 day week (7 days for the price of 3), Friday through Monday at 1 day, and even a 10 day month (rent for a month for the price of 10x the daily rate) are standard fare here (Abel CineTech). Not going to change much with the demand of the camera.
The bigger issue, as has been addressed, is the demand - especially when you are talking about a "new technology" (not that P2 is exactly new, but in this form factor it is something people want to "try before they buy")
