Rendering with Apple Color problems

I'm using Color for the first time and I was trying to render my graded clips.
I'm exporting them at 1920x1080 ProRes.

It seems to be rendering just fine but when I look at the render files they consist of vertical green lines that shift a bit around. I've tried this a couple of times but it happens every time.

I'm not very familiar with Color and I've only used the curves to grade so I'm not sure if I'm maybe doing anything wrong.

Could someone help me?

did you convert your media to Pro Res first, before cutting in FCP and before sending to Color? In my experience, Color is really only happy with Pro Res files (and DVCPRO HD seems to work fine) so i don't "feed" it anything but that and it has worked flawlessly. HDV and other codecs (including stills like TIFFs or JPGS) can be problematic.

What graphics card do you have in your computer? Color REALLY relies on the graphics card for a lot of what it does. It prefers ATI cards too.

I am experiencing the same exact issue with Color 1.5. I was wondering if anyone had any further info? Clip renders fine, but then its just green blocks shifting around. All footage is prores, I am on an IMAC 2008, ATI RADEON HD2600. I have used color many times in this same machine, just recently upgraded to color 1.5 and... boum.

Any leads would be much appreciated!

Thanks

I did not export back to FCP, i just wanted to render a few clips to make sure i was on the right path, and this came out when i opened the clip in finder. It doesnt happen with other projects, however... It is weird, because yesterday for a second, even the timeline imported from FCP in Color looked like that. I restarted the computer and that fixed that issue. But still rendering out weird out of that sequence...

Send to FCP..don't open in the Finder. When you open in the Finder they will go green. Why? No clue. But they only become green if they have not been sent to FCP first. Send to FCP, THEN open in the finder...should be fine. Hmm...but not always. Odd behaviour that.

Just send to FCP.

Ok, cool, will do. Im going to make a mini sequence (the whole project is feature lenght), export it to FCP before opening anything in finder... even if with the other projects even witout sending them to fcp I can still open them in finder... lets seee what happens...

btw thanks a lot for the help : )
