Hi there.

Strange problem (for me) but I'm pretty sure it can be fixed by a stupid click.

I'm trying to render a project that starts with a song.. and then.. 30 seconds in that song there's video almost till the end. However, when I try to render and look at the final product, it seems like he rendered only when there's video, and not at the beginning of the project where the song fades in. I've put the loop region at the beginning and also markers and the keeps on exporting only when the video kicks in.

Why?

somewhere there should be a box or something that says "include audio". i think it's on one of the rendering menus.
 
Well, of course the sound is included, it's only that the MPEG2 starts only when there's video, and not at the beginning of the track..
 
so the first 30 seconds is to be audio with no video? have you tried adding a blank black frame at the beginning to trick it? might not be the best solution, but could work...
 
I have this issue once. Ended up just deleting the clip and re add to the time line. It's like Vegas forgets where it is or currups it somehow.
 
Am I missing something here? When I render I do it twice (to MPEG2 and AC3) but select a Region covering the whole length of the project (you may have to press Q to make this a looped Region --- it will show with a blue bar at the top) and the whole thing renders out as required (provided I've ticked the "Render Looped Region" box on the two Render As menus). The Audio only part then plays with a black Video showing with the visuals then coming in on cue.

You don't need to make the blue bar -- you just have to define the region.

Of course, you don't have to define the region if you're going to render the entire timeline. But if you don't, then you definitely want to in order to get the exact same material both times.

You're certain you defined the loop region to include the audio clip? Keep in mind, the area you want to render has to be between the yellow triangles, not between green region markers.
