Rendering HD GH13 Footage to SD

I've shot and edited some footage using the high compatibility lpowell patch, and now need to mix some of my footage with some SD footage as well. I shot the GH13 in 16:9 and the other clips are all SD 4:3. I'm using Sony Vegas PRO 10, wondering if anyone has any tips for rendering the footage to SD with Vegas? I tried a few presets, mainly the MPG NTSC DVD Architect settings, and wasn't sure if I was approaching this the best way, I'm a bit new to this. Just looking for a few tips before I spend several hours / days experimenting. Thanks in advance for any help.

I haven't used the dvd architect settings but just looking at them quickly on my Vegas Studio, it only says "video stream" no audio. If you just want stock SD then the DV NTSC mainconcept preset is standard camcorder format, I'd use that. The good thing about those MPEG-2 settings is they edit in real time on most any system. Even the HD presets 1080i or 720p edit fast on old systems.

I used to record xbox gameplay and I'd convert the fraps avi file into 720p MPEG2 for easy editing on my old laptop. If it's possible can you upconvert to the 720p preset? Depending how much 4:3 footage you have, there's no reason vids shouldn't be in HD these days.
