Render settings out of VEGAS for DVCPRO HD

Hi,

Just another question.

What setting do you guys render out of Vegas 7 for DVCPRO HD?

Is it uncompressed? I always have Raylight set on the highest quality and choose a setting from Vegas. I then go into AE7 and complete my project and i've been rendering out a WMV 9 with HD settings and getting CRAZY good results.

I'm interested to know in detail the way you guys render from vegas to final output of your projects.

Thanks in advance.

If you can afford it on drive-space, go uncompressed. If not, the option of a lossless codec like HuffYUV
would allow for a lossless compression, meaning, you are not losing any image-quality between it being encoded and then decoded. On my machine, I have had some red/purple artifacts appear near the top edges of some frames when using HuffYUV, but I haven't done any significant testing.

I have personally had the most success with a lossless codec made by Alparysoft: Alparysoft Lossless Video Codec.

Others also use Lagarith Lossless Video Codec. Check out those above and see which works best with your system.

If you render back to raylight avi i think you dont loose any quality.
I use p2 maker to get the footage back to the hvx ,when watching on a hd tv i dont notice any difference with the original footage
