Render Bars

I am starting a new project that was shot in 24PA. I have my sequence settings matching my capture settings but when I drag a clip to the timeline I am getting a RED RENDER BAR. I have my timeline set to unlimited RT and cant figure out to drag clips to the timeline without getting red rener bars.
 
Well I figured out that I was on a 23.98 timeline and all my clips were 29.97. I am not sure how that happened because I was almost sure I shot the footage in 24PA and not regular 24P. At any rate I changed the timeline to 29.97 and when I dragged the clips to the timeline there was no render bar.
 
Are you sure the footage was CAPTURED as 24pA, and not as regular NTSC? You probably SHOT it as 24pA, but captured as regular NTSC. I think...
 
If it was 24pa you need to a remove pulldown on capture or go to tools -> rmeove pulldown before placing in 23.98 timeline
 
Well Scott, I had my sequence all set up to do that. Sequence setting 23.98; Capture setting - Advanced pulldown removal. I am going to double check the format I shot the project in to make sure I shot in 24PA and try this again. I erased all footage from my computer because I was getting drop frames in just about every clip of footage I was capturing as I talked about this in another post here in this section. I plan to recapture everything today hopefully without the drop frames!
