Render After Every Move?

For some reason, I have to render every time I move a clip or anything. Shot in 24pA and captured with the right settings. Moved some earlier footage from one drive to another that I am now working from. Could that do it? Hmmmm. Any ideas?
Thanks,
B

What program are you cutting with?

Sounds like your sequence settings (or similar) don't match your footage. Did you have to render when you put files in your timeline?

I'm cutting with FCP and yes I have to render when I put stuff in the timeline and then whenever I move stuff. What might be the sequence settings that don't match the footage?
Thanks again

What version of Final Cut are you using? Unless you're editing with 5.1, Final Cut can't natively edit HD shot in 24PA

I'm using 5.0.4 and not HD footage. 24pA shot on DVX100A. Any other ideas about why I have to render every clip I pull into the timeline?

Thanks Again
