Renaming P2 Files

Don't know if this has been covered or not, but.....

Wanted to know if there is an internal (to the camera) way to set sequencing on the P2 files. I hate getting 500 files with 00Xf8.mov then 00Xfz.mov......pain in the ass. Im using Name Mangler and sorting by creation date and renaming them, so any insight would be cool.

this doesnt change the file names though - just the user clip name - still very very useful

I have read Barry's thread on this topic many times and am so glad that he put it together. But I still thing the P2 naming convention is really, really, bad. There has to be a better way Panasonic.

I've set up the user clip name as per Barry's thread. I've noticed in my 200 that when one P2 card fills up and switches over to the second card, the clip number resets back to 001. Is there a way to continue the clip numbering sequence going from one card to the next?
