Rename P2 cards?

Is it okay to rename P2 cards? I'm trying to create a simple Automator workflow. The problem I'm having is that the mounting of the 2 P2 cards in the camera is random, so there's no way for me to know which one is Card 1 and which is Card 2 unless I manually check the date on the LASTCLIP.TXT file. On my Mac they are both name "NO NAME" without a "NO NAME 1". Can I just name them Card1 and Card2 if I'm not going to format in the camera?

I've been experimenting and just remembered that you can't delete the contents of a P2 card while it's in the camera. That's a bummer and makes it difficult to do what I'm trying.

Basically I want to connect the camera to a MacBook Pro on the set and copy the cards to the MacBook Pro hard drive. I would like this to be cirtually automated, including deleting of the contents of the P2 cards once the copy is complete. Now that I know that's not possible I'd like to make it as simple as possible. So is it possible to rename the cards somehow from NO NAME to CARD1 and CARD2 and have the camera still recognize and record to them? If so, will the camera maintain the new names when the cards are formatted? That way the copy is automated and all I have to do is format the cards in the camera.

Been out of town so I couldn't reply. I tried P2 Genie. I would rather not have the date for the name of the card folder. P2 Genie also does not differentiate between the two cards by date when naming with numbered folders like Reel 001, Reel 002, etc. Ability to rename the cards would be the whole sure way to automatically copy the cards in the right order when two are mounted on the computer.
