removing advanced pulldown from HDV files

Is there a utility out there that can remove advanced pulldown from HDV footage (specifically the HV20)? I will eventually take it into Avid (which is why I'm posting this question here). But at this point, I want to remove pulldown from HDV files on a hard drive (so I'm not capturing from tape). It seemed that DVFilm Maker only supports pulldown from HD files if it's an HVX200 MXF file. And besides DVFilm Maker made my computer crash.

EDIT: it would seem that advanced pulldown from HV20 footage is not that easy. There's a long thread on workarounds here at HV20.com, but it's not that straightforward. I'll just keep editing it at 59.94 until someone writes a wee program to take care of it.

The source of the problem seems to be with Canon, which has not added "pulldown flags" to the HV20 to take full advantage of their "true 24p" advanced pulldown conversion. The 24fps are there...but without these "flags," most programs can't remove the pulldown. The word from Canon was expressed in a letter to an HV20 user over here.
