Removing a lens off of DVX100

Hi - does anyone know how I would remove this lens? it doesn't seem to come off. I see that there are screws on the side, do I remove those?

I already removed the base shown in the picture.

The lens does not come off on the DVX. It is a fixed lens camera. Now, if you are trying to force it off, I can't really help you.

Thank you for your reply. When I look at pictures of the video camera online, I see others have a square one that says "Leica Dicomar" on it (that I have). Is the one I have on there now not interchangeable with this one?

The bit that says Leica Dicomar is a lens hood or shade. It is a metal (or maybe plastic) piece that acts like the brim of a baseball hat. It is not a lens. The square metal piece on the front of the lens does come off if you need to clean under it: http://www.adamwilt.com/24p/index.html#Cleaning_the_lens

Are you talking about an adapter or something, those screw into the filter threads in front of the lens...

The pictures you've posted show a lens that's still attached. You're mistaking the lens hood for the lens.

it may be a bayonet mount lens that needs to be lined up correctly to be taken off.

Don't think what he's calling a lens is a lens. I think he's talking about Century focus gear mounted on his lens. This thing, https://www.schneideroptics.com/Ecommerce/CatalogItemDetail.aspx?CID=1463&IID=1730. That page also has installation instructions, which should tell you how to remove it.
