Removing 2:3 pulldown

My 24P footage has 'combing' artifacts on 2 out of every 5 frames...i think these are the pulldown frames.

They look really bad on Hi res QT output.

I want to remove this artifact by using the reverse telecine function in cinema tools, but not sure which settings to use.

The footage was captured on mini DV tape using 24P mode on HVX in Squeeze mode and edited in a 29.97 anamorphic sequence setting.

The footage field dominance is lower(even), so do I choose 'field 1 - field 2" in the capture mode window in cinema tools reverse telecine options...and which fields choices do i choose to completely remove the split frames...

I don't really understand all this, so any help would be much appreciated,

Thanks in advance,

matt

I have started to do that, but this project was shot before i realised that 24pA was the way to go...i'm a bit confused because the artifact mentioned in that artical is just what i have, but I have it BEFORE removing the pulldown. not after as mentioned in the ken stone artical???
