remote trigger 6300 vello shutterboss?

I have a Vello wireless shutterboss and I'm wondering if there is a way to get it to remotely trigger an A6300 to start and stop video recording? If I set the camera in movie mode and fire the shutter boss I get a dialog window telling me still shooting is not allowed in this mode. I looked through the camera's menus to see if I could change the shutter button to movie record, but never found anything. Did I miss something? How can I wirelessly trigger video recording?

(This will need to happen over 100' so a cable is out of the question)

Any insights or advice is very appreciated.

Thanks,

If you can't change the shutter button to start recording (IDR anymore) then the only other way possible (AFAIK) is to shoot video in one of the photo modes if that's a doable compromise on your end.

to answer my own question the piece of equipment needed was a pair of sneakers, after some more internet digging one of the benefits of the newer a9 was the ability to change the shutter button to video record - an upgrade in that it was not available before hand. oh well

just posting in case someone comes along like me that did not know this
