Remote Start/Stop for FS100/700

Hi All,

I'll be purchasing the FS700 this summer and will be using it on cablecam systems, many of which will be 20ft above the ground. Anyway, I plan on using the camera for it's slow motion capabilities while on the cablecam. Thing is, with the limited recording times (16 & 8 seconds) at higher frame rates, I'll need a solution to starting/stopping the camera while it's 10-15ft above my head.

Any remote controls/remote shutter controls for these cams? I know the 700 isn't out, but I'm assuming a controller for the 100 would work.

Thanks.

I have a remote LANC trigger for the FS series. It currently is designed for use in a grip but we can rehouse the brain anyway needed. I'll look into it if you like. We terminate in Lemo sockets so you can make up a cable or order one from us. We currently also have Expanded focus and Display coded in. Will be adding further function as well as a user upgrade interface.

I would certainly be interested in a module that could attach to my existing rig and would control both my camera and Ninja. I realize you are selling a grip with this feature but think if you have the time you could find a market for a stand alone unit.

Yes Brian, Someone mentioned this a couple weeks ago in another thread and after thinking about it, it makes sense. I'll have to find a way to house it for end user multi function. I'll find a box we can wire the switches and lemo sockets into and sell it as a
utility control for the FS 700 and 100. Open to ideas. It has to be wired to Lemo sockets with a trigger and a multi function for various menu functions and for upgrading brain. User can supply long runs and we'll offer short runs of control cable. I'm guessing this can be sold for $300.
