Remote follow focus using usb - d90

Hi!

This is my first post, but I have been a reader for a long time. Great forum!

Has anyone tried control the focus on the d90 in a smooth and controlled way using the usb connection and custom software on the computer?

I was using nikon's camera control pro the other day and there you could control the focus (in a very inresponsive way) from your computer. But to be enable control the focus in a "remote follow focus" way I think we need a better application.

Has this been done?
 
You could ask the people at Dragon Stop Motion if this is possible. Their software is the only third party one I'm aware of that allows to remote control Nikon DSLRs. Focusing may come in a future update as stated here: http://www.dragonstopmotion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=93

You will still not be able to start video recording though and I'm pretty sure USB control is completely disabled during filming. In other words it will never work like you want on the D90.
