I've got a question

I want to buy or make my self a remote control. Between the camera and the remote control i need a cable from at least 100 feet or 30 meters.
i want to control the iris zoom focus en record button. something like this http://www.studio1productions.com/zoom-controller-dvx.htm but the problem with this one is that it runs only about 5+12 feet.
If somebody knew where i can buy a remote control , or someone has an idea how to make one please tell me. Or maybe anyone can tel me how it exacly works in the camera.

All ideas are wellcome

I Think all those controls work on sensing the resistance between the tip, ring, and sleeve of the plug. One control is on the tip, the other on the ring and the sleeve is the ground, (common). So theoretically, I suppose you could make one that accounts for the extra resistance when using a long cable.

See the thread about making a backfocus plug in the DIY section. Same idea.

i look in the thread for the backfocus plug

I emailed the manufactuer and he said that resistance of the cable is to much for thos long distances.
