Hey guys, I am excited to share with you a web saga which I was lucky to be involved in as co-director and head of post-production. It's called Remnant. We've just released our third episode, below.

Here's the copy:

"The Turn was black, bloody, chaotic, then quiet. Mankind has spent the last 500 years clinging to a pathetic existence, but from the rubble of time's decay rises a relentless power. Remnant will stop at nothing to unify the realm and restore order, but order comes at a price some won't pay. Which side will you choose, Order or Freedom?"

Remnant is the latest project from Penny Dreadful Productions. Starting out as a conceptual fashion line set in a post apocalyptic/steampunk genre, it has now moved on to the big screen with the help of Brothers Young Productions, Dim Horizon Studios, Amy Houser Illustrations, and other contributors to create five short vignettes to bring the characters to life."

Thanks for viewing and sharing, and I welcome all comments, questions, anecdotes, etc! Like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/remnantneedsyou

Awesome! Part 1 was a little off, i thought the editing was a bit quick - some lingering shots to appreciate the effort put into the costumes and atmosphere would have gone a long way and it seemed a little too brightly lit for the subject matter. By part 2 the acting had improved massively and the editing was starting to find the right pacing. The dark high contrast scenes were fantastic and the makeup effects spot on. By brutal from birth you've really found your feet, costumes were fantastic. Looking really professional and the pacing was just right. The improvement from piece to piece has me really excited to see the next one! Big fan of genre stuff and have loved the idea of using snapshots to build up a bigger story for many years (one of my favourite authors did this very effectively with his short stories).

Chance,

Good to see you post here. Been following your updates on FB and very impressed with these shorts.

Glad to see you still plugging away.

Take it easy,

Martin

Thanks for the great feedback. We had a few issues on the first one... we had to ADR the dialogue as we had 2 loud generators going. This was a premeditated decision, and it really took a lot of work to get it where it is in the edit. Unfortunately, we did have to cut away more than I would have liked to avoid having the looping be compromising.

Thanks for the response! I've been following your endeavors as well. Congrats on everything. Perhaps one day our paths will cross on a project. :)
