Reliable USB audio interface under $500US?

My Focusrite Scarlett Gen 1 is getting flaky. It's (directly) connected to my Mac Studio (and previously to a MacBook Pro). I mainly use it to drive NFMs. Sometimes to record scratch VO and hobby music. Since it's on a Mac, it doesn't/shouldn't need drivers (and hasn't so far...for like a decade or something). Tried a few things to get it stable, but willing to consider that it's time....

So what's a good, reliable USB audio interface that you like? Again, main task is to drive one set of monitors. Would be cool if I could switch between two sets, but that's not really necessary. I have a few other needs, but really: reliability is key. Seems like most have reasonable line outs these days. I'd rather not spend RME-like money (~$1000 US), and based on ancient history have a probably no-longer-valid fear of MOTU...

So what do you personally use and recommend?

Thanks!

Jim
PS- And yes, I looked at this Julian Krause ranking. He seems like a reasonable YouTuber who "stays in his lane" as the kids (used to?) say.

I use this with my Mac Studi0. Drives my monitors (stereo output)and gives me two audio inputs (both can be either 1/4 or xlr). $90

I ran a 2nd gen 18i20 for years, and it flaked out on me last year. That said, I like the 4th gen Focusrites. I have a 4i4 that I use for my portable rig, mostly for driving monitors. My main interface is still an 18i20, just a 4th gen now.
