Reina Williams - E.P.K. (Singer/Rapper/Producer)

http://www.youtube.com/w/?v=wolF7-ZeEdw (NEW LINK HERE)

*FYI: this video has 15 secs of bars and tone off the top so adjust your volume then turn it up after that! ALL music used in this project is that of Reina Williams EXCEPT a couple of cover songs she was performing in the bar. Everything was shot 24P, 24PA and 60i. The bar shoot was the 60i stuff because lighting was to dim for 24p.

I used Final Cut Pro HD to edit and color correct. In the begining, the shot of the baseball field is actually a picture that I manipulated and the picture of the skyline is also another picture that I composited them both together and the shot of the clouds, I shot out in front of my house, sped up in post and color corrected.

I am still learning how to do compression so the quality might not be as clean as some of the other work that is posted here. I am open to all tips and suggestions on how I should compress it to get it to look better! I also noticed that there is a slight delay with the audio matching the video which has to do with the upload to the web. The DVD version is nice and clean and there is no delay.

Now about the artist....

Reina Williams is an up and coming underground artist out of Baltimore, Maryland. I produced this E.P.K. (electronic press kit) to show and tell people a little bit about who she is and the talent she possess. She is a songwriter, rapper, singer, engineer and producer of ALL her tracks. She has performed at various places throughout the Baltimore/Washington, DC, Delaware, and Philadelphia areas. The title of her new CD "Left Field" is based on the style of music she brings. She produces tracks from Hip Hop to Rock to R&B to a little bit of Heavy Metal all on one CD! Don't let the color of her skin fool you! She often turns heads whenever she performs and is starting to generate a buzz.

Let me know what you think....

any suggestions on how I can make the compression better would be cool...thanks! People are always telling me to post some examples of some the questions I post about and here is an example and no one responds to it!

Thanks Brown, I am trying to get her manager to get her some better gigs in bigger cities like that...at least for now they can shop this video along with her demo cd to try to push her career along.

Oh ok I need to repost it again...I made the file size smaller and deleted the original one since some people said it was taking forever to load up but then again those people may have been using a dial up modem.

Go to my very first post to click the new link to see the video.

hey, thanks for getting that up and running! Very cool, very cool. Rena Williams got skills. I'm sure she'll make it big in the near future.

Great interviews!

Was that long color-test screen and terribly annoying beep necessary?

Very masculine lady, but good vid.

Leseul,

you are just breaking me down tonight huh? Its all good! Thats why we post here to get critiqued. Have you ever worked for Post Production company or TV station? Most projects start off with color bars and tone. I look at movie trailers that come to my job all the time that have color bars and tone off the top so whats the problem with mine? I don't have any immediate plans to have this work air on TV but there is the possibility so I just put the bars on there like that.

I can tell what the problem is, some people are quick to view the link and don't read the post that goes with the link. I put a FYI disclaimer telling viewers that there will 15 secs of color bars and tone and to turn down your speakers then turn them back up after the color bars.

As for the girl...Yea I think she has a thing for girls. I just do her video work and I dont worry about her private life.

thanks for the compliments on the video though! :)
