Regarding buying a 35mm adapter.

I own a Sony HDR-HC1E (1080i Recording & 37mm filter diameter) and would like to purchase a 35mm adapter, to give my films shallow of field.

However I've come across several adapters and I'm pretty unsure on which one would be most suitable for my camera. I've contacted Letus and they've suggested a Letus 35 mini and a Nikon lens from the AI or AIS series to have manual focus, non-digital.

The TwoneilHD adapter has also interested me, but I have doubts on whether it would meet the professional standards of mainstream 35mm adapters (Letus etc), because I genuinly want to stray away from any potential problems.

And finally, the RN35 has been another adapter I've looked at though unsure how good it is

I'd appreciate all comments helping me choose the right adapter and lens (I've been told primes would be more suitable for me).

Thanks!

Not really, because there's a lack of information on the camera I've started unfortunately and I couldn't find anything that relates to that camera concering the 35mm adapter thus it hasn't been answered.

The future exisitance of the 35mm adapter will probably be the small home camera market once prosumers cameras come out with larger sensors, so its' in their best interest to start pandering to us little guys. So far from what I've seen, the TwoneilHD is probably the best budget adapter out there. On the pro-level, for smaller cameras I would go with finding a used brevis since one always seems to pop up in the classifieds ever so often. Brevis customizes their ground galss to work with smaller cameras. You can also wait to see how the sgblade does with smaller cameras, if such test footage comes out.
