Refurbished Apple Cinema Displays?

[krish]

I was looking at the apple refurbished store and saw some of the Cinema displays are marked down as much as 60-65% from the original price. I read about the apple garuntee for refurbished products.

My question is what is the catch in buying a refurbished Display from Apple?

65%? Where is this? I want in!

i guess i figured out the issue.

basically the cinema displays on apple refurb websites are probably the older models when the prices were almost double of where they are today.
for example they have a refurb 23" display for around 749, and they show the original price as 1499. a new 23" display is only 899 so for a about 150 bucks more you can get a new one.

You could go with Dell monitors aswell, they are the exact same panel, and significantly cheaper than the Apple displays.
