My team and I have been working on this film for quite some time now, and I'm glad to say it's finally finished. Please take a minute to observe my humble little flick. I would love to hear your feedback :)

Very nicely done. It has one thing that so many of the films on here don't - atmosphere and mood. It successfully takes you into its own world and its convincing. It puts the viewer inside this world and makes them feel what its occupants are feeling.

It's been lit for a certain mood, shot, scored and acted in a way to achieve this mood - and it's consistent and convincing throught the film.

I've seen many films/trailers on here that don't create a convincing wolrd. So much of this, I feel, is in the lighting, and not the however many thousands of dollars super amazing camera you shoot with.

Really enjoyed this short, Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed this, nice framming of your shots, and i liked the acting overall to).

Had some interesting angles throughout. I liked your decision to go B&W.

What made you do it? Was it to hide some of your lack of lighting equipment? Or did you still have access to lots of good lighting stuff.

Wasnt sure how it was supposed to end story wise, and if feel like you could shorten it a bit, maybe tighten it up and cut a minute or two out. (13 mins is kinda long for a short).

Otherwise, great job. What gear were you using on this?

Thank very much for your kind words, hungercultfilms. I will definitely take these to heart and use them for ammunition/ motivation in the future!

Thank you for watching, jonE5. I like black and white - it always feels surreal to me. Besides that, this is not a colorful story in my opinion. I too would like to see a tighter storyline. Definitely will be heavy on my mind for my next short film.

As far as equipment, I used:

Canon HV30 - 24p - TV mode

Lowel Pro, Omni and Tota. Cinefoil, dimmers, china balls and a 5 in 1 reflector. Also some led lights from ikea for the car scenes. I stuck them in the dashboard and sun visor;)

I used a skateboard for a dolly (Earlier shot of Johnny on the couch). A Bogen fluid head tripod and also a Hague MMC motion stabilizer for the scenes in the car. The HV sat comfortably on top.

Rode NTG 2 was the boom mic along with some ADR in post production.

Hope this helps,

Trey

Nice job, the pacing was right on. The sound design really kept me in the scenes. This actually really inspired me, im in central florida so I could relate to the storm background. I've been looking to do a short film with a hurricane as a backdrop to the action and this really took that kind of idea further by adding some supernatural vibe to it... good job all around!

Thank you very much, Robultz... i especially like hearing back about the sound design;)
