Hello, I was recently shooting with a Canon 5D in the dressing rooms of a concert, I am doing a documentary about some musicians. These images have some noise because of low light, I am very worried with trhis. I am new to video shooting and I would like to ask if is posible to reduce this noise in postproduction, what would be the best software and technique for this.

Thanks a lot

cheers

Are you transcoding the footage for post work? If so, how?

If possible try to avoid this step, unless you already are. Noise, in my experience is heightened from any transcode or conversion.

Reducing noise = Reducing detail

There are some methods that produce better results than others, they vary based on the algorithm used to preserve the detail that you are essentially blurring. Personally, if I need to really clean up noisy video I think camera raw does a great job. Export your edit as a tiff image sequence then open it up with camera raw and play around with luminance noise and luminance detail sliders.
