hey everyone. I was shooting an interview with a DVX and, when I processed it, the reds were blocky and just plain blah. is there any way to A) fix this or B) Prevent it from happening again?

It's one of DV's limitations, so outside of avoiding certain situations and maybe desaturating your image more in scene file settings, there's not much you can do to avoid it. Using a chroma blur filter is a good way to fix it. I don't know what NLE you're using but they all have some variation on it, either included or as a 3rd party plugin.

Just make sure you're not rendering back into the DV codec because the blocks will reappear afterwards. In Final Cut, ProRes is a good way to get around this (or if you've got the space you could use Animation, etc).
