marco0782;1292711} If they would have mentioned the Extreme early they wouldn't have been able to keep making money while they were doing R&D on the new product. Marco[/QUOTE said:Or in the case of RR, people would've held off on ordering MB's from another company. Like me. Anyway, they finally got back to me and they said the original lead time in my invoice was a mistake and that it's really 60 days (which in my case will be the 18th). Good to know that a month and half after I placed the order. It makes no sense now to throw in the towel and buy a Chroz.
I hoping they're good on their word. Faith can be a *****.
I agree with you 100% except for the fact that they charged him. I don't think they should charge anyone until it's shipped or about to.
To me it'd be like "who wants to see the dark knight!?" hands go up and tickets are sold. And then using those ticket sales towards the movie's budget.
The customers are not the investors. At this point I'm positive a business as successful as redrock already has people for that.
. . . To me it'd be like "who wants to see the dark knight!?" hands go up and tickets are sold. And then using those ticket sales towards the movie's budget. The customers are not the investors . . .
We get this all the time when introducing a new product. That's generally why we make sure there's a retrograde path . . .
Redrock puts a big disclaimer form in the way of every purchase:
"BUILD TO ORDER PROCESS
Redrock Micro manufactures and delivers products on a "build to order" basis. This means we accept your order and require payment in full up front. Once we receive your payment, your order is placed in our build queue and we acquire parts and assemble your product(s). Once assembly is complete we ship the finished product(s) to you and provide you with an automated email including tracking number."
There's a lot more.
Then you have to click "accept" to get to the page where you can buy something.
There's also a link to a "lead time" chart, which I think is a recent addition.
Having said that, I'm still not very happy with the way my recent Follow Focus order and defective gearbox replacement was handled. Slow and very sloppy pretty much sums it up.
This really bites. July 10th. That's three weeks beyond the 60 days lead their customer support stated me in their most recent correspondence. It'll be 80 days plus wait on my end. I wish that was upfront info as I would've ordered something else. Yeah, I'm complaining - so what. This is just lousy unconscionable customer support plain and simple. Anyone have luck with a refund?
Anyone know Hyson's lead time?
