RedRock Micro vs Letus35 Master Cinema Series

What seems to be the better rig for you: Redrock Micro (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...Micro_21_066_0005_Studio_Bundle_for_Sony.html) or the Letus35 Master Cinema Series (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...CS_STUDIO_FS100ZFF_Studio_Cam_Bundle_for.html) Has anyone had any experience with these rigs? Also, with added accessories for RedRock, such as a shoulder mount, handle, clamp, etc, these rigs will end up costing the same. Thanks for any help.

The Redrock line of Cinema Accessories will definitely not disappoint. With lifetime warrantees on all of our products and our new microFollowFocus | Blue which is included in the bundle you've linked to, you will have a system ready for any caliber of filmmaking. It is also a great value, as you'll find that a whole shoulder mount and tripod solution; including a matte box, follow focus, and monitor mount, will still come in at about $1,000 less then the tripod only system you linked to, which also doesn't appear to include a matte box.

Thanks for your reply. You're right, the Redrock includes a lot more items than the alternative. I've calculated everything up to get the same amount of items. The RedRock Bundle is about $4,000, while the Master Cinema Series is $5,915. That's a significant difference in price for the same amount of gear/rigs.

I just rented a redrock cinema rig last week for a shoot. I felt like the quality of the product was great, but the ergonomics were still a little bit weird with the FS100. Also, having a cage with no built in 1/4" mounting also seemed a bit counter intuitive. I have not used the Letus MCS yet but I think the FS is a little bit of a tricky camera to make a rig for. Particularly with its record button being on the back of the unit. Just my 2 cents... but once again, thumbs up to Red Rock on build quality.

Cant speak to the Letus as Ive never owned one, though it does look very hokie in the images and not ver solid, but I can speak to Redrock Micro and their products. They are solid and high quality stuff. I have owned several thousand dollars worth of it across their product line offering and with very few exceptions its all awesome and a perfect solution! They are also top notch in customer service. They have gone above and beyond for me several times now. Needless to say, Im a long term fan now.
