This should make people sit-up and think, by the time you've bolted the evf to your dslr, 7d/d7000 etc the true cost of adding an evf like the new redrock will be near to $1000, the GH2 body is less than that all in. Plus it weighs nearly half of a GH1/2 body.

In any event though nice product ;-)

i'm not sure if this has been asked before, but has anyone figured out what the def of the video from the 'viewfinder output' on the GF1? is it HD or SD?

I just bought one of these and can't decide how to spend the $525 I saved over the Red Rock Micro EVF. Another ivory back scratcher? I have too many as it is, though.

lol shaveblog. but the red rock does have a 1.2million pixel display, so it's actually not bad... pricing aside - damn i wish i could just buy everything i wanted, i would be so happy lol

No, I totally get why the Micro EVF is sweet. I'm sure if I got a chance to play with one I'd be marginally less inclined to dismiss it as a nutty-pricey alternative to a $70 Chinese LCDVF knockoff. I just know that 6 months from now your fave new DSLR is going to come with a built-in EVF that rivals or exceeds the Red Rock. It's just too bloody expensive for what it is. Cool though.
