I have the GH2. I have the DP6 but as yet I have zero rig.

I was thinking of just getting a baseplate and articulating arm to use with my Manfrotto tripod with 701RC2 head to get started.

I've been looking at RedRock because they seem like a good balance between price and quality.

For the baseplate there's the[h=2]DSLR Baseplate[/h]
For the articulating arm there's the
[h=2]microArm long - black[/h]
Do I need anything else to have my GH2 and DP6 set up on a tripod? Screws or bolts or anything? I get confused by all the options.

Also I was thinking maybe I should bite the bullet and buy the shoulder mounted[h=2]DSLR Field Cinema Standard Bundle[/h]
I'm looking at shooting narrative shorts and features with it. In the description RedRock says :"This bundle is compatible with most video DSLRs including the Nikon D90, D300s, D3s**, and Canon T2i, 7D, 1D Mark IV**, and 5D MKII," Is there any good reason they don't mention the GH2?

At $1,204.50 I'm a little hesitant so I thought I would do a cost analysis to see what all the individual RedRock parts would cost separately and now I'm more confused.

Following is a list of what you get in the bundle. Next to each item I have put the price it is to order each item separately.

DSLR baseplate $229.50
18" carbon fiber rods $99.00
microShoulderPad $197.50
Handlebar rod clamp $85.00
4" handlebar rod $15.00
8" handlebar rod $22.50
microBalancePlus with 2x microBalance counterbalance weights $210.00 + $130.00
2 rubberized microHandGrips $149.00
microMount with spud (typically used for mounting external monitor) $67.50
access to video setup tutorials ?

That all adds up to $1205. That's 50c more than buying the bundle. that seems a little crazy! With the bundle you get "video setup tutorials". Are they really necessary? I would have thought that buying a bundle there would be at least a 20% discount over buying all the components separately?

Thanks for any feedback/help!

I have the eyespy rig and love it. It's held up to field production, it's versatile, rugged, lightweight. Can't say enough good things about it.
