Redrock DSLR Question

Has anyone used the redrock micro support with dslr/follow focus/ mattebox and had any issues with it? I was thinking of going that route since it was cheaper than the dslr support/tripod plate combo.

Hey Jon,
Don't forget with both those options you'll need a rod set.
In theory your first option would work, but it would work best backwards (i.e. the rod clamp in the back of the camera as opposed to in the front) so that you can get the camera as close to the edge as possible so that you're focus wheel will line up with the follow focus no matter how short the lens. Not sure if it comes with this, but if not you can purchase a shim kit to raise the rods as high as you need to reach the height of your lens.
