red x coming and going for the past 3 shoots

I've had this issue before, and either have had to air the camera out by leaving the tape slot open, or a cleaning tape sometimes. Anyway, i've been getting the red x once or twice per shoot, i stop recording, push record again and it goes away.

I'd like to resolve this before it becomes a bigger problem. What's your experience with this, and more importantly what is the solution?
 
It means you have dirty heads, and you need to clean them. If the head cleaning tape isn't getting the job done, you might need a professional head cleaning performed.
