Red 'x' blinking on the viewfinder???

We own this camera for 18 months with about 250 hours on the heads.
Today after shooting for 3 hours a red blinking 'x' appeared on the upper left side of my screen. The conditions were very mild, not too hot neither too cold. There was no moisture in the air and I was mostly indoors.
The first time it appeared I reset the camera and I was able to shoot for another 30 minutes, then it happened again.
I only use the Pana MQ's tape on this camera.
I’ve checked on the Instructions Manual but couldn't find any reference to it.
Did anyone experience something similar?

Clean the heads.
