Red Ruination Blue - a production blog

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I'm in the middle of packaging a 3-5M feature myself and can tell you from first hand experiance that Adamo is spot on with his dealings! Hang in there man!

Thanks man!

I wish I could say more and update the blog more often. I will be able to soon, until then, while I am maneuvering, I must by necessity go into stealth mode and keep quiet.

There is LOTS going on with RRB right now, not much of which can be public (at this point), so easier to say nothing at all.

Hey Adamo we met at fat monter films after party I was the tall guy wearing very pointed black and white shoes!!!

Thanks for the info, Zak! Tell all your friends:
I provide 35mm short ends starting at 10 cents for 200 ft to 240 ft rolls.
A 100 minute movie will utilize $202.50 worth of film stock. That's 4,050 ft of film. Developing the negative is 10 cents per foot at DeLuxe, so developing 4,050 ft will be $405.
Total film stock and developing will be $607.50
If you're a disciplined director, you can shoot a maginificent movie at 5:1 shooting ration (of 500 minutes of film). That's a total of $3,037.50 for a professional 35mm feature film.

The short ends I sell are tested and color matched. If your budget can't take a $3,037.50 hit, then obviously shooting digital in available light makes more sense.LOL

I think rental on that Platinum 2 perf package is about $1200 per day plus lenses, 3 day week.

They used to have an indie film maker program where you could get a camera from them pro bono for up to 10 days/2 weeks if they liked your project.

I'm not sure if that still exists or not, but it's worth looking into.

Chris

Taormina, i checked out imdb for Corrado and found that Stelio Savante acted in your movie. How is he to work with? Talent-wise and inter-personal.
He contacted me a few months ago to play a lead role in my short film.. but that short never took off.
Just curious...

I'd use him again. He was great to work with. A real pro.

Tons has been going on but I can't talk about any of it. Very soon I will have more I can share, probably enough to write ten pages of blogs - just of my own posts! I figured it was better to stay away and say nothing rather than make pregnant statements like this one.

Here, while you wait have a poster ;-)

Adam, saw the poster last night, and my first thoughts were... "wow, intense"

If I saw that in a theater it'd pique my interest. Good job.
