Hey everyone,
Was going through this forum reading up on the odyssey 7q (which isn't available here in dubai yet
), and decided to post my recent film that won a couple awards at the 48 hour film challenge here in the UAE.
Most of the time, and on paid gigs, I use my EF lenses with speed booster on the fs700, but due to time constraints and not having enough crew to pull focus (as is common on 48 hour projects), I decided to shoot "barebones" on the camera with the stock 18-200 lens.
As I'm not used to this combination, i was actually surprised at how workable the footage turned out overall. Since buying the sony, I had always shot with EF lenses (first the regular meta bones one, then the speed booster), so I didn't really have a proper idea of what the kit lens looked like when cut together. I just sort of discarded it and never used.
But it's autofocus (even tho there are some issues in the long steadicam shot) really helped out. Ironically, there's a few out of focus shots and they were all on the C100.
Anyhow, you can check out the movie here: http://www.llirik.com/portfolio/red-rockit/
