We were shooting some RED this past weekend so during lunch I wandered around the amazing location to try the Pro Primes on my Hot Rod PL GH1 kit:

Thanks for watching!

Thanks guys! Serious glass indeed, that 25mm is almost 7lbs! Mechanically they're like butter though, so smoooth and so sturdy.

Hi Michael. In the photo of the rig that's a 25mm lens on the camera yes, for the video I used a few different focal legths. The lenses are made by RED and designed to cover up to their new 30mmx15mm sensor

It was a military barracks I believe, near Goderich ON.

It looks extremely similar to the Burwash prison near Sudbury ON. I'm probably going out there with a friend soon enough with the GH1 and T2i. I'll let you know when I get some footage. But..... we don't have RPP lenses ;)

Sexy indeed....but...meh.... exact results can be achieved for a fraction of the price of that setup.

Client won't have a boner tho.

Is my internet connection screwed up? Everyone says it looks great, but almost every shot looks really jerky and jittery to me.

yeah i see nothing special. a lot of noise and the quality is no better than my cheap 50$ canon FD lenses. I really don't see that huge of a difference at all...

yeah, @ 720p lens image quality isn't going be a big deal, and i actually perfer the look of my FDs to what i saw from the RRP's... but ask your AC which lens they'd prefer to pull on all day long. ;)

and i added all the noise in FCP because i get bored of super clean HD.

It seemed to play fine to me. Like the color tone. Looks like one very heavy lens.
Ryan I PMed you. re. Torontonian seeking advice.
Thanks
Rick
