RED ONE ships

i worked with an AC that worked on 1-18-08 and yes they did shoot on HVX's and and assortment of your higher grade HD cameras!

They are still working on the software. The Hardware is ready, so they can ship it, now it's just a bunch of firmware updates as they get features completed.

"Waiting for proof."
...well you might have to wait a while, the crew had to sign several non-disclosure documents while shooting was taking place

Awesome.....

Yea the RED will make commercials and music videos so slick,..... Though actually some Films need the grit. and post grit never looks as good....

Yeah good call. Sometimes we need the grit. We can't always aford it, but we need it. Lately, there have been so many features shot on video or HD and I rarely even think about film. Last night I saw a trailer shot on film (16mm) and thought to myself, "Wow this film looks like it was shot on film." It was that moment that I realized how dependent I have become on video and HD and have almost blocked out film. I shot one film on film. I love HD.
