This response will probably get pulled but I can't resist. $450??? this kind of stuff is bitter sweet, yes this is an amazing price for the package, but don't you think this sort of price is killing the rental market, it just hurts things in the long run...we've got to keep our $$'s up people or our industry is going to end up paying like Mickey D's. My suggestion Cheesesailor is get what your cameras worth...it helps you and everyone else trying to keep value to their RED rentals.

Sorry to butt in but what is wrong with making it affordable for us indie filmakers who don't have deep pockets to begin with?
 
Hey guys, I should perhaps declare this my "DVXuser Special". This is not the same rate I normally give (I'm only listing it here), and is something of a limited time offer. After I wrap up these gigs I'm working on now, I'll have a few months open so I figured I may as well list an ad and try to help out some fellow independent productions.

As far as killing the rental market, well, the market is what it is. The RED ONE is dirt cheap for what it is, and the market is flooded with people who bought cameras hoping to get rich off rentals. That equals a crashing rental market. The way I look at it is that while it's bad for owners, it's great for filmmakers. I normally offer this package for $800, which is still damn cheap and won't make me rich, but luckily I don't need to be rich and just like making movies and meeting cool people :)

Anyway, just made a deal for the first week of September, but it's still available after that.
 
charge whatever man, as long as its good for you. Who cares about the big company making a fortune! GO LITTLE GUYS!
 
well, for the time being, it's still only $450 :) Tell your friends because I think I'm only going to take reservations at that price for the next few days.
 
Unfortunately I'm officially no longer offering the DVXuser Special discount. However, depending of your production, if you need an affordable RED package, please let me know and we'll work something out. :)
