There is a red circle with an X on it on the top of my lcd screen. The camera has 10 hours of use on it so far. I think this indicates a dirty head, but I don't see any difference in the picture quality. Does that sound right?
This has happend to me a few times.. sometimes when I am working in a humid enviroment (like a sauna or pool).. it went away by itself.. Unless you have mixed tape brands your heads shouldn't be actually dirty.
I only use panisonic brand tapes. I've only shot in a club so far, which was quite smokey from cigarette smoke. Do you think that could have triggered it?
