Recovering Deleted Mxf Files From External Hard Drive!

Does anyone know of a program or place I could use that could recover MXF (P2) files from my external hard drive. I was doing a standard file back up, the USB got bumped and I had a "improper disk removal" message. I reconnected and checked to see if the files were still there and they were. Restarted the backup and things seemed to be ok. I opened a new finder window to check again the files seemed to be gone from the original hard drive. I stopped everything, and checked again with finder and the files were not there, but the space on the external hard drive seemed to still be used up (120G used of 500G), as if the files were there and just not showing up. I did a "verify disk" in disk utility and the disk needed repair. So I "repaired" the drive and the program ran. Now the space info is different, it reads that I have almost all of the space available. So my fearful question is there anyway to recover these files, about 15-20 folders with a lot of P2 footage on there????
Does Disk Warrior, Data Rescue or any other program recover MXF files?
Help!
Thanks

I've used both of those with mixed success. Try them all and see what's up. I've used Data Rescue and Disk Warrior to locate files that were erased. You need to do it asap.. and hopefully your computer hasn't been put to rest yet. Try it right away

I second the statement on GetDataBack from Runtime.org. It's saved my ass in very similar circumstances to the ones you describe on many occasions. (BTW, we stopped using external drives for that very reason... look into the Buffalo Terastation, it's a much more stable and reliable media...)
