Recover videos from card crash

After my hacked gh1 crashes it creates a MTS file of 0 bytes, and the "remaining time" on the camera is set back to the before the crash value (for example, if I have 15 minutes left of video, and I film 10 minutes there are 5 minutes of video left, after the crash this value gets back to 15 minutes).
Is there any way to recover the video that I shot before the crash? It must have been written on the card, but it just somehow disappears!

But what will I be able to recover if the file already exist and is empty? Also, I would need to stop shooting on that sd card until I recover the data, otherwise it will be written over.
If you have other info please share, I'll try later to see if recovery might be an option

Also, am I the only one who is left with an empty file or this is a common occurrence?

Common occurrence with my camera with 100Mb/s high latitude patch. With 75Mb/s patch the files are OK up to the point when camera stops.

PhotRec saved me, but my files seemed to have regular file sizes (over 2gb). It's worth a shot, as Photorec was the only thing that worked.
