records two channels, plays back one

My partner bought a set of wireless lavaliers, and I tested them out on my HVX. The two mics were plugged seperately into the two inputs. When I monitor the audio in the headphones, I can hear both channels; on the LCD, both inputs show activity; when I put the P2 card into my Powerbook, I can hear both channels; but for somereason, when I playback in VTR mode, only one channel is heard (channel 1).

Is this because the speaker built-in to the HVX is mono? It isn't a critical problem, I'm just curious. Thanks

Go into the MCR mode> press the audio dub/thumbnail button> then press the menu button> select #2. playback functions> set audio out to Ch1 . Ch2
