recording with EX1 and 7D at the same time

I am planning to record a corporate video with EX1 and a 7D. In some parts I will record at the same time with both cameras. Obviously I will record the audio in the EX1. To sync in NTSC world recording at 30P in both cameras will be sufficient? in both cameras 30p is truly 29.97?

Yes, its the 5D that shoots 30 fps instead of the industry standard. Color, DOF, sharpness, etc will be your real issues.
