Recording what I do on a Mac into the HVX?

I want to video myself with an HVX talking about different websites and occasionally I want to zoom in on the screen and show it. Rather than zooming in with the HVX, I figure I will somehow plug my Mac into the HVX to actually record what I am doing on the screen. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to do this?

Thanks!

Well, I could do this after the shoot and just try to synch it to the audio that was recorded during the shoot. I was just hoping that there might be another way to just record the screen in real time as I was actually going through the websites so I didn't have to do it later in post. Is using something like iShowU in post the way this is usually done for this type of project?

Thanks.

????

Why not just use hi rez animated stills? Hold Apple+Shift and hit 3 to take a snap of the desktop and keyframe it, hold apple + shift and hit 4 to draw a box around a selection to save a cap of. Or hold apple + shift hit 4 and then space bar to take a screenshot of a single window.

Monitoring out to the HVX would be more trouble than it's worth, I think.

Alternately, try Camtasia.

i've never done this, but you could try getting a dvi to video out cable (similar to this) and go from the monitor out on your computer to the video input on the camera. You could record your monitor output as if you were printing to tape in your NLE.

I'd recommend iShowU. In my testing its the best one. Just make sure to use the Apple Animation codec for the best quality.
