My apologies if this is a simple question, but here goes...
I've read suggestions here that seem to imply that when you record to both channels on the DVX you can set the gain on one channel a little lower than the other to give you a bit of a safety net in case of clipping.
My question is...I have in the past recorded audio directly on the DVX using both channels, but when captured...it's all still one audio file as far as I can see. I don't see how one would separate the channels in order to take advantage of the above tip.
I feel I must be missing something really obvious, but I've searched the forums and can't figure out what. If it matters, I'm using Premiere to capture.
I'd appreciate a kick in the right direction.
Thanks.
