recording to DV tape and Harddrive..possible ?

is there any possiblity of recording to DV tape -minidv- as well as recording to firewire drive possible woth this camera . and can we stretch the same possiblity to minidv and P2 card atleast in DV quality as minidv wont take 720P or DVC RPO..thanks in advance
 
Yes, if you want to record DV you could record to both tape and the firewire drive.

The tape only ever works in DV mode.

Firewire works in all modes (with the possible exception of "Native" 720/24pN and 720/30pN, not 100% sure about that yet). So you can record to P2 and firewire drive in almost all modes, or you can record DV to tape and firewire drive.

But you will never record anything but DV to the DV tape.

Really not sure? I thought the brochure made it pretty clear that 720 DV out was all "over 60p" and not supported for pN. Are you saying you think there's a possibility that the DV port might stream "over 60p" while, say, the P2 records pN?

That would be swell indeed!
